Coastal Honeymoon

Barefoot luxury along the southern coast.

The south coast is short enough to drive in an afternoon, which is exactly why most itineraries overfill it. This one moves three times in seven days and leaves the rest to the sea.

What it is built around

  • Blue whales off Mirissa on a small boat, not the eighty-seat ones
  • A beach house at Tangalle with nobody either side of you
  • Dinner cooked on the sand, by the family who own the cove
  • Galle Fort in the last hour of light, when the day trippers have gone
  • An afternoon with a Kandyan-trained chef, if you want it

The shape of it.

An outline rather than a schedule. The days move around you once we know your flights, and nothing here is fixed.

  1. Days 1–2

    Galle

Straight down from the airport to the Fort. Two nights inside the walls, which is a different place entirely once the gates quieten.

  2. Days 3–4

    Mirissa

One early start for the whales, and then genuinely nothing, which is the point.

  3. Days 5–7

    Tangalle

The quietest stretch of the coast, a house rather than a hotel, and a dinner on the beach on the last night.

What is included

  • Private vehicle and driver-guide throughout
  • A small-boat whale excursion with a marine guide
  • Six nights split across the Fort and two beach properties
  • The private beach dinner, including the cook
  • Airport transfers timed to your flights, both ways

Best for

Two people who want to be left alone, with someone quietly making sure everything works.

Probably not for

May to October, when the southern monsoon makes this coast rough. We would move you to the east instead.
